NFL Scout Compares Joe Burrow to Tom Brady and Drew Brees
CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been compared to plenty of great quarterbacks over the past few seasons.
Is he the next Tom Brady or Drew Brees? One scout compared Burrow to both guys.
"He takes time to appreciate because the elite athlete isn't what you see first," a veteran NFL scout told ESPN. "But the more you watch him, the more you're like, Damn, he's doing the right thing every play. It's a lot like [Drew] Brees and [Tom] Brady where they start doing things so consistently every year and you're thinking, Well, maybe he really is that guy."
Burrow is expected to have the Bengals in Super Bowl contention for a third consecutive season. The 26-year-old has led Cincinnati to five playoff wins over the past two years and back-to-back AFC North titles for the first time in team history.
