Potential Bengals Draft Target Doesn't Fully Participate at Alabama Pro Day
CINCINNATI — Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham is expected to be a top 25 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. A lot of mocks have him going off the board in the top 15.
The Bengals could target Latham with the No. 18 pick if he falls to them. Unfortunately, they won't know how his athletic profile compares to his peers.
Latham didn't do any of the athletic testing at Alabama's Pro Day on Wednesday.
He did field drills for coaches and scouts that were in attendance. The 6-6, 346 pound lineman would join Cedric Ogbuehi, Billy Price and Jackson Carman on the list of Bengals offensive lineman that didn't do any of the athletic testing during the pre-draft process.
Ogbuehi and Price were both first round picks and Carman was a second rounder. Latham could end up being a really good player, but not knowing how he compares to the rest of this class from an athleticism standpoint is a red flag.
It would've been nice to see how Latham did in the athletic testing, even if he looked the part during field drills.
