Report: Denver Broncos Sign Bengals Free Agent Running Back Samaje Perine
CINCINNATI — The Denver Broncos have reportedly signed former Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine to a two-year $7.5 million deal.
Mike Garafolo reported the move as Denver beefs up the running back room. Perine was a pivotal part of the Bengals' offense over the past two seasons as a runner, blocker, and pass catcher.
Cincinnati could also move on from Joe Mixon this offseason, prompting a whole new look at running back and safety.
He posted 394 rushing yards and 6 total TDs on 4.1 yards per carry, plus hauled in career-highs in catches (38) and receiving yards (287).
Perine essentially doubled his earnings from the prior two-year deal in Cincinnati and gets to live the mountain life out west.
