Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs Preview: Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes Meet Again
The Buffalo Bills are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive as they travel to face the Kansas City Chiefs in rowdy Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Rest advantage goes to the Bills, who are fresh off their bye. Buffalo is currently 6-0 coming off the bye week in the Sean McDermott era. Meanwhile, the Chiefs suffered a surprising 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers last Sunday.
This matchup is highlighted by the two of the most exciting quarterbacks in the league in Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes. Kansas City has won three of the five matchups in the Mahomes-Allen series, but more importantly, two playoff matchups in the 2020 AFC Championship Game and an absolute thriller in the 2021 Divisional Round.
Can the Bills offense continue to find its stride? In their first two games under new offensive coordinator Joe Brady, Buffalo has scored 66 combined points.
The Bills defense will look to get after Mahomes, who popped up on the injury report with a pectoral injury this week. Mahomes is completing 67.8 percent of his passes for 3,127 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
The legal situation surround Bills linebacker Von Miller continues to unfold. Miller is available to play on Sunday, amid an ongoing legal investigation, Bills general manager Brandon Beane said Wednesday. Miller, 34, was arrested on third-degree felony charges on Thursday, Nov. 30 after he allegedly assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.
Currently looking to stamp its place in the AFC playoff picture, Buffalo is on the outside looking in sitting at No. 11. The Chiefs sit one game behind the Baltimore Ravens for the top seed in the AFC.
The Bills are chasing the first-place Miami Dolphins in the AFC East. With five games remaining, every win gets them closer to qualifying for the postseason. The Bills have one of the toughest remaining schedules, facing the Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys as their next two opponents.

THE FINAL WORD: Allen on the Chiefs' defense:
"Yeah I think their d-line is playing at a very high level. I think their cornerbacks have been playing very well, they're a physical group, they like to get up and jam and press," Allen told reporters Wednesday. "But anytime you have a d-line that can go disrupt a quarterback, it makes it a lot easier for the back end."
