Cleveland Browns are continuing to look at options for players that they want to bring into training camp. The latest is free agent linebacker Clarence Hicks, according to a report.

Hicks is a 6-foot-2 linebacker that is suited for rushing the passer with his speed. He had a standout college football career and capped it off with 10.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss as a senior at UTSA.

Hicks originally signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2022 but did not make the team.

In the 2023 XFL season, Hicks made two starts in 10 games played for the Seattle Sea Dragons. During that time, Hicks made two sacks and 21 tackles. Though mostly known as a pass-rushing linebacker at 230 pounds, Hicks has shown an ability to play in coverage.

Expect the Browns to continue looking at depth options along the linebacker position due to the number of injuries they had to overcome last year.

A player like Hicks may be one the Browns would be interested in getting to their practice squad, at best.

Additionally, the Browns are working out USFL’s Noah Dawkins, according to Aaron Wilson. A linebacker that has spent time with the Bengals, as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Jets, and Chicago Bearsx
