Browns to Work out XFL “Breakout Star” Wide Receiver
As training camp is getting ready to begin, the Cleveland Browns are bringing in an interesting wide receiver for a workout. XFL breakout wide receiver Jahcour Pearson is set to work out for Cleveland, per a report.
Pearson played for Western Kentucky from 2017-2020 and had his best season in 2019 when he tallied 804 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. In 2021, Pearson transferred to the SEC to play for Ole Miss.
After a step up in competition, Pearson had 392 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 10 games with the Rebels.
The 5-foot-9 wide receiver has worked out for multiple NFL teams this season including the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, and Indianapolis Colts.
Pearson led the XFL in catches with 60 and put up 670 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Cleveland has plenty of depth at wide receiver but Pearson could be an interesting addition for training camp and potentially could be a player they want to stash on their practice squad.
