College Football Defensive Coordinator to Join Cleveland Browns to coach Safeties

Ephraim Banda Of Utah State is heading to the Cleveland Browns. The now former college football defensive coordinator will be involved with the Browns defense.

Cleveland Browns have their new safeties coach in former Utah State defensive coordinator Ephraim Banda. Per a report, Banda is making his move to join Jim Schwartz's defensive staff with the Browns.

Banda coached safeties with Miami (FL) from 2016-20, while serving as the assistant defensive coordinator as well. Banda has been with Utah State since the 2021 season.

As a college player, Banda played with Incarnate Word from 2008 to 2010 as a college walk-on. Now, Banda will work with a position group that has some questions in it. Grant Delpit is the only certain thing in that room as the Browns have a decision to make on John Johnson III.

Cleveland's defensive staff is becoming more clearer as Kevin Stefanski and Schwartz work together to find good fits.
