Cardinals Players Bash Team's Investment in Facilities
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Arizona Cardinals are quite busy here in Indianapolis trying to find their players of the future, yet their current slew of players aren't too satisfied with how things are going in the desert.
That stands from a competitive perspective to other various factors that impact players during the course of a season.
The NFLPA recently released a study of over 1,300 players that served as a report card to grade various aspects of each franchise.
The release with the study read as follows:
"One of our core jobs as a union is to improve the overall working conditions for our players, which includes the daily experience of players at the team facilities away from the lights and cameras.
"1,300 of our players provided information to share with one another about their current club, to not only help them make important career decisions, but also help raise standards across the league.
"Our goals were to highlight positive clubs, identify areas that could use improvement, and highlight best practices and standards."
The Cardinals received grades for the following categories from their own players last offseason:
Treatment of families: F
Nutrition: F-
Weight Room: F-
Strength Staff: A-
Training Room: F-
Training Staff: B+
Travel: B+
The Cardinals were of three teams to have three or more "F" grades in the survey, joined by the Washington Commanders. Arizona led the league with four marks across the board.
In the strength staff category (where Arizona received an A-), only five teams did not grade at an A- or above. Their B+ in training staff is tied for 12th, however.
