Expect a new look to the Chargers offense this season.

As we get closer to the start of the new NFL season, teams have been building their game plans and now are finishing them up. For the Los Angeles Chargers, they decided that how their season ended last year wasn't acceptable and brought in a new offensive coordinator to make sure nothing like that ever happens again.

Kellen Moore was brought in from the Dallas Cowboys to replace Joe Lombardi, and the expectation is that he will help transform this offense into one of the best in the league. Now, the offense wasn't bad by any means last season, but Moore can help take it to a new level.

Jared Dubin of CBS Sports labeled his biggest x-factor for each team, and he put Moore as his pick for the Chargers.

"Moore is here to help the Chargers open things up offensively. Too often under previous coordinator Joe Lombardi, the Chargers were operating in tight spaces. A player with a cannon attached to his shoulder like Justin Herbert should never rank 31st out of 33 qualifying quarterbacks in air yards per attempt, like Herbert did last year, according to Tru Media."

With Justin Herbert in the mix, Moore should have no problem creating a super team on offense. Herbert's ability to sling the ball all over the field will maximize the schemes put into place by his new coordinator.

Moore used more of an aggressive, offensive style and now has some real talent to work with in LA. The Chargers boast one of the top wide receiving cores in the league with Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Quentin Johnston, and others. It should allow the offense to open up more and let Herbert be more free.

"Moore's Cowboys offenses were much more willing to test the opposition down the field, and if Moore can nudge Herbert in that direction and get him to be a bit more aggressive overall, it will go a long way toward finally getting the Football Internet's favorite tease of a team to fulfill its potential."

Per CBS Sports

This is a make-or-break season for the Bolts. If they fail to make a deep playoff run, there could be some serious ramifications. LA knows they need to find on-field success, and it starts with the coaching staff putting their guys into the best possible positions to succeed.
