As we get closer to the start of the new NFL season, that means that we are getting closer to the start of the fantasy football season as well. The growth of fantasy sports has been incredible to see over the last few years, and each year, millions of people participate. Fantasy football seems to be the most popular, and people have already started preparing mock drafts and looking at different rankings.

As the year starts to get going, making sure you have a solid quarterback option is important to having success in fantasy football. Pro Football Focus ranked the quarterbacks across the league and placed Los Angeles Chargers signal caller Justin Herbert as the seventh best for the games.

"Herbert is expected to bounce back after a down season and remain among the league’s elite passers, but he doesn’t have the rushing production to land in the top two tiers."

Per PFF

Herbert battled through injuries all season last year, and the hope is that he can stay healthy this year. If he can do that, he will again be a top player in fantasy. His ability to sling the ball all over the field for high numbers each game gives him a strong chance to be a top performer.

He has plenty of receivers to work with, including Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and rookie Quentin Johnston. Plus, the addition of new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore should help open things up for Herbert to be even better across the board.

"He should benefit from a new offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore, both of his top wide receivers staying healthy, as well as rookie first-round pick Quentin Johnston strengthening the receiving room."

Per PFF

Having the abilities of Herbert makes for a great fantasy player. He likely is placed in the seven spot due to the injuries from last year, and they want to see how he holds up under the new offensive schemes. But Herbert is great at limiting turnovers which can be killer in fantasy.

"He’s excelled at avoiding mistakes. His 1.5% turnover-worthy play rate is the best among quarterbacks in the last two seasons."

Per PFF

If I were to be drafting and Herbert was still available, I'd grab him. He should be in line for another strong fantasy season, and he could help people win some leagues this season.
