Jets' Starting RT Unable to Face Texans, Lands amongst Gameday Inactives
Last week's starting right tackle is amongst the New York Jets' Week 14 gameday inactives for their December 10 AFC home matchup against the Houston Texans.
Listed as questionable to play after popping up on the injury report with a hip issue, rookie Carter Warren is unable to give it a go on Sunday. That means the Jets will have two different starters on the right side of their offensive line with Wes Schweitzer, who started at right guard in Week 13, has since landed on Injured Reserve.
Defensive end John Franklin-Myers and running back Breece Hall both joined Warren in the questionable category but are officially active for the Week 14 home game. After fighting through a hamstring injury prior to the loss against Atlanta, Hall was dealing with an ankle injury this past week in practice.
In addition to Warren, two other rookies were amongst the Jets' seven inactives. Undrafted receiver Jason Brownlee was ruled out on Friday while sixth-round linebacker Zaire Barnes appears to be a healthy scratch.
Offensive tackle Austin Deculus, backup cornerback Bryce Hall and edge rusher Carl Lawson are all down in Week 14. Recently-acquired Brett Rypien is inactive as the emergency quarterback.
The Jets (4-8) and the Texans (7-5) kick off at 1:00 pm ET on Sunday.
