Two offensive pieces will be missing when the New York Jets welcome the Houston Texans to MetLife Stadium on December 10.

With both set to miss practice for the third day in a row, Jets' head coach Robert Saleh ruled out offensive guard Wes Schweitzer and receiver Jason Brownlee for Sunday's AFC home game.

The veteran Schweitzer, who is nursing a calf issue, played 100 percent of offensive snaps at right guard against Atlanta in Week 13. The start marked the 30-year-old interior lineman's return off Injured Reserve. He had been out since the Week 8 win over the New York Giants.

The undrafted rookie receiver Brownlee has been active each of the past three games, but an ankle injury will end that run. Seeing the majority of his work on special teams, Brownlee has been limited to two receptions for 20 yards on offense.

Starting running back Breece Hall is coming off back-to-back missed practices, but Saleh expressed optimism that the RB1 would be available come kickoff.

"He's dealing with an ankle. It's just trying to get him comfortable, but we feel good about gameday," said Saleh.

Hall, who has successfully recovered from an ACL tear, has appeared in all 12 games thus far this season. The second-year pro has hit a wall of late, gaining 28 or fewer rush yards each of his last four outings.

Hall expressed his intention to suit up while addressing reporters following Thursday's practice.

Hall was asked, "No problem with playing Sunday?"

"Nah," said Hall.

Should Hall be unable to dress, the bulk of the workload would fall onto 28-year-old veteran Dalvin Cook. As for Schweitzer's replacement, the Jets could opt to put Max Mitchell back at right guard. Brownlee's absence won't hurt special teams as much now that Pro Bowler Justin Hardee has returned to the unit.
