GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones enjoys being an underdog.

“I’m loving it. I’m used to it, being an underdog or being slept on, personally, so it’s a position I love to be in,” Jones said this week. “Nobody sees you coming at all. Everybody’s relaxed when they’re thinking about you or they don’t think you’re capable of it. When you prove people wrong, it’s one of the best feelings in the world.”

Good thing Jones likes being the underdog, because that will be the case most weeks during the 2023 NFL season as the Packers transition into the Jordan Love era.

DraftKings Sportsbook posted odds on every game following the release of the 2023 NFL schedule on Thursday.

The Packers are favored in six games compared to 15 of 17 games at this point last year.

Green Bay is a 2.5-point underdog for the season-opening game at the Chicago Bears. The Packers, of course, owned the Bears – especially at Chicago – during Aaron Rodgers’ illustrious run at quarterback.

The Packers are 1-point favorites at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2 and for Love’s first Lambeau Field start against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.

The Packers are underdogs for each of their next four games: 2.5 points at home against the Detroit Lions, 1.5 points at the Las Vegas Raiders, 3.5 points at the Denver Broncos and 1 point at home against the Minnesota Vikings.

Green Bay is a 1.5-point favorite for a home game against the rebuilding Los Angeles Rams, but an underdog for each of the next five games: 3 points at the Pittsburgh Steelers, 2.5 points at home against the Los Angeles Chargers, 4 points on Thanksgiving at the Lions, 5.5 points at home against the Super Bowl-champion Kansas City Chiefs and 2.5 points at the New York Giants.

The Packers are favorites for three of their final four games. They are 3.5-point favorites at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 1-point favorites at the Carolina Panthers, 2.5-point underdogs at the Vikings and 2-point favorites in the home finale against the Bears.

While favored in six individual games, Green Bay’s over/under win total at DraftKings is 7.5. In the NFC North, the Lions are 9.5, the Vikings are 8.5 and the Bears are 7.5.

To win the Super Bowl, Green Bay is +6500. Only seven teams have longer odds.
