Former Baltimore Ravens cornerback and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is resting now as he is recovering from a Friday surgery to alleviate blood clots in his legs.

"We are so grateful for the healing power of God and for all of our prayer Warriors," girlfriend Tracey Edmonds posted on Instagram on Friday. "It was a long, but successful day! He is resting and doing great tonight after his surgery! Thank you Lord! Thank you Fam! We love you!"

Sanders dealt with leg and foot issues for most of his career, including his time with the Baltimore Ravens in 2004 and 2005

The two-time Super Bowl champion discussed the possibility of a complete amputation of his foot in a video released Thursday. Sanders said, "The doctors were just telling me worse come to worse, this was going to happen, but I believe in staying right so we never have to take that left."

So Sanders is doing what he can to make sure it doesn't come to that.

"I'm having a procedure to try and get those clots, so now I can have proper blood flow to the leg so they can fix the toes," said Sanders, now the head coach at the University of Colorado after spending three years at Jackson State, has increasingly battled blood flow issues in recent years, which led to the loss of two toes.
