Ravens Add Former Steelers WR for Playoff Game
PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Dan Chisena is suiting up for the Baltimore Ravens Divisional round game against the Houston Texans. As the team prepares for their first playoff bout, they've elevated the wide receiver/return specialist from their practice squad.
Chisena spent the summer with the Steelers after signing a one-year deal. Prior to Pittsburgh, he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings for the first three years of his career, becoming a part of their special teams unit. However, he's yet to catch a pass in the NFL.
The Ravens will look for Chisena to be a key part of their special teams unit in their playoff opener against the Texans. With return specialist Tylan Wallace out for the game, he could also be an option to return kicks and punts for Baltimore.
Chisena was a track star at Penn State while also playing on the football team. He made his way to the NFL due to his speed and special teams capabilities, which he'll look to put on display against the Texans to help the last remaining AFC North team advance.
