Colin Cowherd: How Steelers Land USC QB Caleb Williams

The Pittsburgh Steelers would get Caleb Williams in this scenario, but what they'd give up is a lot.
In this story:

PITTSBURGH -- Not everyone outside of the team believes the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback situation is in the right hands with Kenny Pickett. Those who don't are looking for alternatives, and FS1's Colin Cowherd has a wild idea on how to change the QB.

"If I’m Pittsburgh, I would give up Watt, three 1st Round Picks, and Pickens for Caleb Williams. I would," Cowher said.

While the Steelers, like many other teams, would probably benefit from adding Williams to their team, giving up all of their assets to get him might not be on their minds. George Pickens is only on the second year of his rookie deal, Watt is on pace to break the single-season sack record and three first-round picks, well, Pittsburgh probably will never give up that haul.

If they did, Williams would somehow still have Diontae Johnson and Calvin Austin to throw to, with Pat Freiermuth playing tight end.

Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig would like become the edge rusher duo in Pittsburgh.

But, if we were to guess whether or not the Steelers would ever even consider pulling this off, the easy answer is no.

If they want Williams, though, Cowherd has the blueprint.
