Steelers Add Punter Brad Wing to Roster
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are elevating punter Brad Wing to their roster for Week 4 against the Houston Texans as they deal with an injury to Pressley Harvin III.
Harvin will miss the game with a hamstring injury he suffered against the Las Vegas Raiders. In his absence, the Steelers signed Wing to their practice squad and have elevated him to the active/inactive list for this week's game.
Wing will revert back to the practice squad after the game without having to clear waivers.
Wing played for the Steelers in 2014 but has not punted in the NFL since 2017 with the New York Giants. The Australian punter spent this past spring in the XFL playing for Hines Wards' San Antonio Brahmas.
The Steelers have averaged six punts per game this season, leaving the door open for Wing to get plenty of action in his first game back.
