Steelers Could Avoid Bengals Star WR Ja'Marr Chase
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will need a big win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16 to keep their playoff hopes alive, and to boost their chances, the team might avoid star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase.
According to FOX Sports' Jay Glazer, the Bengals wide receiver is set to undergo an MRI on his injured shoulder, and the team is preparing for him to miss time because of it.
Chase suffered the shoulder injury during the Bengals overtime win against the Minnesota Vikings. Cincinnati left Week 15 with multiple big-name injuries, including defensive tackle D.J. Reader, who will miss the rest of the season with a groin injury.
Even with Joe Burrow missing a good chunk of the season with injuries, Chase has been able to secure a career-high 93 catches for 1,156 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Steelers are currently on the outside looking in on the AFC playoff picture and are a full game back from the Bengals, who hold the 6th seed. Pittsburgh won their earlier matchup on the road in Week 12.
