The Pittsburgh Steelers took a blow on the opening of Week 2.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are dealing with two new injuries as they begin Week 2 of training camp at Saint Vincent College, head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed.

Cornerback Cory Trice went down with a non-contact injury during team period. After a play ended, Trice remained down on the field and was helped by trainers. After being unable to stand on his own power, he was carted off the field with what appeared to be a right knee injury.

Inside linebacker, Elandon Roberts was also unable to finish the day, but Tomlin classified his injury as "precautionary." It's unknown what he injured or when it occurred. He did participate in backs-on-backers but All Steelers did not notice his presence the remainder of the afternoon.

The Steelers defense is starting to accumulate injuries heading into the middle of camp. Safety Damontae Kazee is out with an ankle injury, and defensive end DeMarvin Leal has been dealing with heat-related injuries that kept him off the field for some of last week.

Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is also away from the field dealing with a personal issue.

Without Trice, James Pierre, Madre Harper and Luq Barcoo are primed for more reps at practice. As for inside linebacker, Kwon Alexander and Mark Robinson should see more first-team reps without Roberts.
