Steelers WR Diontae Johnson Leaves Practice With Injury
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson ended practice early on Day 2 of training camp, leaving with a trainer during team drills.
Johnson was talking to a trainer on the sideline before walking over to the cart and being taken off the sideline. It’s unknown what the injury is at this time.
Johnson did go down awkwardly on his knee during the first training camp practice. After going up for a ball on the sideline, his knees seemed to hyperextend. He left for just one play before returning to the field, and spent almost no time talking to trainers.
It’s unknown if Johnson’s injury is due to the first practice or how serious that injury could be. For now, George Pickens and Allen Robinson will resume starting duties, with Calvin Austin working in the slot.
