Steelers QB Kenny Pickett Sets Horrifying Record

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback puts himself in the record books for the wrong reason.

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett is quickly falling into a concerning category, and after the team's loss to the Cleveland Browns, he finds himself in the record books for the wrong reason.

According to CBS Sports, 315 quarterbacks have 500 pass attempts since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. Only Pickett has thrown a touchdown on fewer than 2% of his attempts during that span. Pickett has thrown a touchdown on 1.9% of his passes.

The Steelers quarterback has thrown just six touchdowns in a span of 10 games this season, and has only thrown one since Week 5. In his 22 games as an NFL quarterback, he's thrown 13 touchdowns to 13 interceptions.

Pickett said after the team's loss to the Browns that his confidence is still high, and head coach Mike Tomlin backed that statement.

"Always confident in myself," Pickett said. "It's an ultimate team game. We have to come together and figure this thing out."

Still, Steelers fans are getting impatient, and with stats like this, it's only a matter of time before the team has to question if Pickett is their long-term starter.
