PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to re-sign inside linebacker Myles Jack this week, barring another team coming in to sign him prior to his visit with the team, according to CBS Sports' Josina Anderson.

Jack spent the 2022 season with the Steelers, starting 13 games and collecting 104 tackles. He was released during free agency after the team signed Elandon Roberts and Cole Holcomb.

Eventually, Jack signed with the Philadelphia Eagles during training camp. However, he spent just two weeks with the team before announcing his retirement. Philly waived him from the retired list this past week, and after clearing waivers, he's now expected to return to Pittsburgh.

Jack will join the Steelers practice squad with some expectation he could be added to the 53-man roster. Following the losses of Holcomb and Kwon Alexander, Pittsburgh has just Roberts, Mark Robinson and Mykal Walker on their active roster.
