Najee Harris Admits Steelers Plays Are - At Times - Predictable

The Pittsburgh Steelers offense continued their season-long struggles, and are uncertain how they'll find success.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers offense continued to struggle in Week 11, putting up just 10 points in their loss to the Cleveland Browns. And despite plenty of fourth quarter wins, this one slipped through their hands, and afterward, they acknowledged things are getting troubling for this team.

Obviously, once inside the locker room, the main topic of interviews were about the offense's continued struggles and their lack of success for more than short stints.

A trending topic after Steelers games has been opponents making it known that Pittsburgh's offense is "predictable." Up until this point, players and coaches fought against that notion, claiming most teams in the NFL run the same plays. But after the loss to the Browns, running back Najee Harris admitted it does seem as if defenses know what's coming.

"Yeah, in some situations. To be honest with you," Harris said when asked if it felt like opponents knew the plays.

Harris made sure to speak strictly about himself when dissecting the game and the Steelers' lack of success on offense.

"I couldn’t get things going," Harris said. "It seems like every time I’ve got it, it seems like it was just either the defense was playing to minimize my role or something like that and coming out in the second half, I just couldn’t get anything going. Lucky thing Jaylen got going. So that was good but even for me, they were just sitting on screens for me. Then in the run game, just blowing things up in the run game. I couldn’t get nothing going, personally."

But as to how to fix things, Harris isn't certain how it'll change for the better.

"I just don't know what to do," Harris said. "I feel like I'm stuck in a situation where I just don't have an answer to it. All I can do is rise this little wave until it is out."

The Steelers' offense has been out-gained in yards in all six of their wins this season and have won all of their games by a difference of within a touchdown. They've scored over 20 points just four times this season.
