Steelers Get Last Minute Boost Before Colts Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers get a significant lift just before kickoff.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will get a pretty significant boost on offense in Week 15 as left guard Isaac Seumalo is set to play despite being questionable due to a shoulder injury.

The Steelers announced running back Anthony McFarland, quarterback Kenny Pickett (ankle), offensive tackle Dylan Cook, cornerback Darius Rush, inside linebacker Blake Martinez and defensive tackle Isaiahh Loudermilk will be inactive against the Indianapolis Colts.

Who was not on that list is Seumalo. The veteran guard did not practice throughout the week while nursing a shoulder injury he suffered in Week 14 against the Cardinals. Despite the missed work, he'll play his second game with the injury as he starts against the Colts.

Pickett will miss his second game due to a high ankle sprain, but is pushing to comeback early. According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Steelers could get their starting QB back as soon as next week against the Cincinnati Bengals, but a more "realistic" timetable may be Week 17 when the head to Seattle to face the Seahawks.

McFarland continues to be inactive while Godwin Igwebuike takes over as the team's kick returner and third-string running back. Cook and Rush have also been frequent inactives this season.

Martinez was active for the first time last week, making his Steelers debut against the New England Patriots. This week, the team will have a healthier Elandon Roberts available, which will allow them to utilize less inside linebackers.

Loudermilk replaced DeMarvin Leal on the inactive list. The Steelers' defensive tackle room is deep this season, and they've tested a number of different lineups this season.
