Steelers Rival: Browns Suffer Massive Blow on Offense
PITTSBURGH -- The AFC North and the Pittsburgh Steelers just received a massive shake-up as the Cleveland Browns lost their starting right tackle and rookie star in Dawand Jones, who will undergo season-ending knee surgery, according to the 33rd Team's Ari Meirov.
Jones took over as the starter in Week 1 after Jack Conklin suffered a season-ending knee injury. He became a staple of the team's offensive line, and a massive contributor to their continued running success.
Now, Cleveland will look for their third option at the position while already dealing with injuries across the line.
Cleveland will likely turn to James Hudson as their starter on the right side. This season, outside of losing their starting quarterback Deshaun Watson and star running back Nick Chubb, the Browns have lost tackle Jedrick Willis, Conklin and guard Drew Forbes.
The Browns currently hold the 5th seed in the AFC playoff race, sitting one spot ahead of the Steelers. The team teams split the season series 1-1.
