PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have made some adjustments to their 90-man training camp roster, signing a new safety and releasing a wide receiver.

The Steelers announced the addition of two-year veteran Jalen Elliott this week. Wide receiver Ja'Marcus Bradley was waived/injured to make room for Elliott.

Elliott, a former captain at Notre Dame, signed with the Detroit Lions in 2020 as an undrafted free agent and was released prior to the start of the regular season.

The following year, the Lions re-signed him to their practice squad. He appeared in eight games for the Lions in 2021 after being activated from the practice squad prior to Week 7. Elliott was signed to the active roster in November and went on to record 12 total tackles that season. He hasn't appeared in a regular season game since but did spend training camp with the Patriots in 2022. Elliott signed a reserve/futures contract with the Raiders last season but was waived this spring.

Bradley was signed to a reserve contract with the Steelers this winter and had spent the first week of training camp with the team.

The Steelers' secondary got Minkah Fitzpatrick (personal reasons) back last week but are still thin at safety with Keanu Neal (undisclosed) and Damonte Kazee (ankle) still sidelined with injuries.
