Steelers Dealing With Two New Injuries

The Pittsburgh Steelers are without two starters leaving the preseason.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers were hit with two new injuries during their final week of preparation before their preseason finale. According to Mike Tomlin, defensive tackle Cam Heyward and offensive guard James Daniels

Neither starter suited up for the Steelers against the Atlanta Falcons due to "day-to-day injuries," according to the head coach. It's unknown if they're in danger of missing time in the regular season or when they'll return to practice.

The Steelers were already missing two key pieces to both sides of the ball heading into their preseason finale. Defensive end Larry Ogunjobi (lower leg) and offensive guard Nate Herbig (shoulder) have both missed time during the preseason, and it's unknown when they'll return.

Guard Kevin Dotson is also banged up with a shoulder injury.

The Steelers will have an off week before they take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1. They'll practice during the break, but likely on a limited basis before they dive into game week after Labor Day.
