Former Alabama WR Traeshon Holden Dismissed from Oregon After Arrest
Former Alabama wide receiver Traeshon Holden has been dismissed from the Oregon Ducks' football team after he was arrested early Wednesday morning.
Holden is currently in custody at the Lane County jail in Eugene, Ore. He is facing three charges — menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, and coercion.
"We are aware of the incident involving Traeshon Holden, and he has been dismissed from our team,” Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said to On3. “We have high standards for the student-athletes, coaches, and staff in our football program, and we are disappointed when these standards are not met. We will continue to hold everyone in our program accountable for meeting our expectations.”
Holden played for the Crimson Tide from 2020-2022, appearing in 21 games over three seasons. He had 46 total receptions for 570 yards and seven touchdowns.
Holden transferred from Alabama to Oregon on Dec. 12, 2022.
