Auburn guard Denver Jones loves the way Aden Holloway transitioned to college hoops
We are nearing the start of the 2023-24 Auburn basketball season, which is a season surrounded by tons of optimism.
Coach Bruce Pearl landed a handful of talented players via the portal, like Denver Jones, and brought in five-star freshman point guard Aden Holloway.
Former FIU Panther Jones joined the Locked On Auburn Podcast to discuss the season, and host Zac Blackerby asked him about Holloway and how he has looked thus far.
Jones responded," Coming in from high school, his game translated right to college. He's the one who surprised me the most. Most people, when they try to make that jump, that jump is pretty hard, but he made it as smooth as possible. I love the way he plays."
Both Jones and Holloway will be a massive part of the success of the 2023-24 Auburn hoops team.
Jones will be one of the Tiger's primary scorers right there with Holloway.
Both of these guards are prototypical Bruce Pearl guards and could be the closest match we have seen to Jared Harper and Bryce Brown since their departure.
This mix of young talent and veteran leadership will make this Auburn basketball team dangerous.
Something feels special about this squad, and there is no doubt that they will score a lot of points and shoot better than we saw a year ago.
