CINCINNATI — The Bearcats have pursued many guards in the transfer portal, and one just put the program in his final six schools. According to Jon Rothstein, West Virginia's Sean McNeil is deciding between Ohio State, Texas Tech, Indiana, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Virginia.

The 6-foot-3 graduate transfer averaged 12.2 points and 2.5 rebounds last season for the Mountaineers. Over the last two seasons, the sharpshooter nailed 37.8% of his 333 3-point attempts and finished third and sixth among all Big-12 players in made triples in those two seasons.

He would be an instant replacement and upgrade in the Mason Madsen role—while bringing more reliable experience. McNeil has one year of eligibility remaining as a grad transfer.

According to Evan Miya, McNeil is the 42nd-ranked transfer and the 10th-best shooting guard.
