Cincinnati Opens As Betting Underdogs Against TCU With NCAA Tournament Hopes in Peril

The season is essentially on the line this Saturday.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are back on the underdog side this weekend, with TCU opening as a 5.5-point betting favorite over Cincinnati with a total set at 145.5 points.

UC's now 12-13-1 against the spread this season after losing as a 10-point favorite to Oklahoma State. TCU is 16-10 ATS but just 11-8 as a favorite, while Cincinnati is an impressive 5-1-1 ATS as an underdog.

Cincinnati has to win this game, or they face needing to win at least five consecutive games (including the first round of the conference tournament) to make the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

They are outside the historic NET cut-off to make the tournament of 33rd overall (ranked 45th as of this writing) and are included across just 21 of the 105 verified projections on The Bracket Matrix.

The season hinges on covering as an underdog and winning outright on Saturday.
