Look: Jizzle James Producing Among Top-15 Freshmen Nationally This Season
CINCINNATI — Bearcats freshman guard Jizzle James has exceeded expectations this season. According to Evan Miya's Bayesian Performance Rating, James is posting the 13th-best freshman season in the country.
It boosts a preseason expectation that he'd be the 33rd most productive freshman. Oddly enough, James has been more effective than former major UC target Isaiah Collier (24th nationally in freshman BPR), who's had an up-and-down season at USC.
James has slowed down a bit in conference play, but he's still averaging 7.5 points and 2.1 assists per game this season. He's taken a lead ballhandling role in stride as a freshman and the results have been strong.
