Report: Jeremiah Davenport Playing For Arkansas During Final College Season
CINCINNATI — The Arkansas Razorbacks are adding former UC guard Jeremiah Davenport to the 2023 squad. Davenport will use his final year of eligibility in the SEC.
On3's Joe Tipton reported the move after Davenport averaged 9.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists this past season at UC.
“I chose Arkansas because of the real love and care I received right off the bat,” he told Tipton. “They really care for their players and are really big on improvement and how they can get you to the next level. I’m really big on energy and emotion out there on the court and the energy coach Musselman puts out there for the game of basketball is beyond amazing. The legacy coach Musselman is building over there is something I want to be a part of and I’m ready to compete at a high level for him and the whole Razorback community.”
It took Davenport one week to find a new home after entering the transfer portal last Thursday. Arkansas is a perennial big player in the portal and 2023 is no different.
JD is the school's fourth transfer add this cycle joining Tramon Mark from Houston (10.1 PPG), Keyon Menifield from Washington (10 PPG), and Khalif Battle from Temple (17.9 PPG).
UC contacted Menifield before he chose Arkansas.
