Report: UC to Face Bob Huggins, West Virginia Multiple Times Per Season in Big 12
CINCINNATI — Some insight surfaced regarding what UC's basketball schedule will look like in the Big 12.
According to Jon Rothstein, Cincinnati is playing West Virginia twice across its first two seasons in the league, while Oklahoma and Texas are still present.
Rothstein also confirmed that the league is staying at 18 league games from 2023-25 and wants to keep its challenges on the board (Big East-Big 12 Battle, Big 12/SEC Challenge).
For Bearcats fans, this means newly enshrined Basketball Hall of Famer Bob Huggins is coming to town a few times over the next couple of years as long as he keeps coaching.
Cincinnati is 9-7 all-time against West Virginia and has played them six times since Huggins took over the team. They are 2-6 in those contests, with the last win coming in 2009.
