CINCINNATI — UC basketball has finalized its hopeful 2023-24 roster. Hopeful is the operative word as two potential transfers still have to get waivers allowing them to transfer a second time: Aziz Bandaogo and Jamille Reynolds.

Bandaogo told ESPN's Jonathan Givony that he is transferring for his mental health and will seek that type of waiver from the NCAA.

Cincinnati needs the green light from the NCAA before the two big-men additions can round out an impressive frontcourt with Viktor Lakhin and Ody Oguama.

Still, with the dust settling on Saturday—take a look at my projected starting lineup for Game 1, plus the full projected roster.

Starting Five:

PG: DaVeon Thomas

SG: CJ Fredrick

SF: Simas Lukosius

PF: Viktor Lakhin

C: Aziz Bandaogo

Bench:

G - Dan Skillings

F - Jamille Reynolds

F - Ody Oguama

G - Jizzle James

G - Rayvon Griffith

G - John Newman III

F - Josh Reed

G - C.J. Anthony

F - Sage Tolentino

G - Chase Kirkwood

Skillings and Reynolds were the tough decisions to bring off the bench first, but that's a luxury Wes Miller and his staff have earned through great transfer pitches this offseason. Those two talents could easily start to begin the season, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a strong nine-man rotation in 2023-24.

Injuries played a role in only seven players hitting 500-plus minutes last season. Depth is a must-have in America's toughest conference, and the Bearcats have plenty of it, pending waivers.
