CINCINNATI — UC football staffers are back on the recruiting trail this week, prompting a slew of offers starting with five-star 2025 wide receiver Andrew Marsh out of Katy Jordan (Texas)

According to 247Sports, Marsh is the 28th-ranked player in 2025 class and the fifth-best wide receiver.

He holds 27 offers from schools like Houston, Baylor, and Auburn.

The 6-foot-1, 173-pound talent posted 53 catches for 850 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

Marsh is a walking touchdown as an elite deep-ball receiver and yards-after-the-catch player. He does a great job high-pointing deep passes while staying balanced to continue the play.

The YAC ability stands out the most. He took multiple screens 40-plus yards for scores last season and could be a dynamic weapon in Clifton.

Next is an offer to 2025 three-star Princeton (Ohio) linebacker Paul Nelson.

According to 247Sports, Nelson is the 43rd-ranked linebacker nationally and the 26th-best player in Ohio.

He holds five other offers from Kentucky, UMass, Toledo, Michigan, and Boston College.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker has nice tackling anticipation at the middle linebacker spot and can get downhill in a hurry. He wraps and tackles with great form.

We have another local offer to three-star tight end Willie Rodriguez out of Covington Catholic (Kentucky).

According to 247Sports, Rodriguez is the 1,076th-ranked player nationally and the 52nd-best tight end.

He holds 31 offers from schools like Arkansas and Boston College.

Rodriguez projects as a versatile receiving weapon at 6-foot-4, 240 pounds. He lined up outside the offensive line on all of the clips I saw flashing great hands and succinct route-running skills.

Rodriguez doesn't have blazing speed, but it's enough to get to the third level and make someone miss.

Next, is an offer for 2024 three-star linebacker Montay Weedon out of St. John's (Maryland).

According to On3, Weedon is the 858th-ranked player nationally and the 92nd-ranked linebacker.

He holds 14 offers from schools like Ole Miss and Florida State.

Weedon is a nasty hitter who can wrap bigger players in the open field at 6-foot-1, 210 pounds.

He plays with great intensity on each clip and is always in the middle of the action at the line of scrimmage. Weedon also showed some nice punt-blocking skills.

UC also offered 2024 edge rusher Josaiah Knight out of Gadsden County (Florida).

According to On3, Knight is the 71st-ranked player in Florida and the 46th-best edge rusher.

He holds 12 offers from schools like Georgia Tech and Florida State.

Knight doesn't quite dominate like his 6-foot-4, 232-pound frame would suggest, but he's still an impactful QB harasser. He has pretty decent bend around the edge for that big frame and is another player that tackles with great fundamentals.

Knight uses a couple of different moves to add variation to his speed rush and can shoot the inside gap well at times.

Moving on, we have an offer for three-star 2024 edge rusher Kobe Smith out of Red Bank (Tennessee). He tallied 56 tackles (13 for loss), and 6 sacks last season.

According to 247Sports, Smith is the 74th-ranked edge rusher nationally and the 36th-best prospect in Tennessee.

He holds 10 offers from schools like Duke and Appalachian State.

Speeeeeeeeed.

Smith brings plenty of it off the edge at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds. He'll have to keep adding weight over the next two years to get on the field quickly, but the baseline skills are there.

He is a great inside gap rusher that uses his quickness to access that fast path to ball carriers. Smith also showed a great nose for turnovers in the plays I saw, ripping the ball loose for fumbles a few times.
