CINCINNATI — The Bearcats cracked a pair of cutdown team lists over the weekend. Four-star 2024 defensive end Elias Rudolph out of Deerfield Beach (Florida) started things off by including UC in his top five schools.

Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, and Pittsburgh are also in the mix.

Cincinnati offered him in the middle of December and quickly made a strong impression. He attended Taft High School in Cincinnati last season.

According to 247Sports, Rudolph is the 230th-ranked player in this class and the 20th-ranked edge rusher. ESPN has him ranked 150th overall and 22nd among edge rushers.

Rudolph is a bit slight at 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, but he bends like a gymnast and is usually the most athletic player on every snap. The junior has a great speed rush and spin move combo that he uses to win on the outside. When he lines up inside, that speed pops even more. A lot of his highlights remind me of current Arizona Cardinal, Myjai Sanders.

He would be a major win for the Bearcats' new staff and become the new highest-rated UC defensive recruit in the 247Sports era.

Cincinnati also made the latest cut for three-star 2024 offensive lineman Clinton Richard out of Hiram (Georgia).

Georgia Southern, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, Troy, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, and App State are also involved.

According to 247Sports, Richard is the 498th-ranked player nationally and the 31st-ranked interior lineman.

He held 22 offers before cutting down his list. The versatile trench player lined up at offensive and defensive tackle last season.
