Cincinnati Lands Commitment from UConn Wide Receiver Aaron Turner
CINCINNATI — UC football landed a commitment from UConn wide receiver Aaron Turner on Thursday. He is the second WR to commit in the last few days, joining Tar'varish Dawson.
UC moved quickly after offering him this week.
The 5-foot-7, 177-pound playmaker has two years of eligibility left after posting 56 catches for 530 yards and 3 touchdowns last season. He also added 14 rushes for 53 yards. Turner led the Huskies in catches, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
UC added Dawson this past weekend and Turner fits a similar mold as a slot receiver. UConn coaches discussed moving him around to more outside reps. He could offer that in UC's passing game this coming season.
Turner ranked a respectable 115th among all FBS WRs in PFF receiving grade last season (75.2). He brings big play ability and experience against some Power Five competition.
