Look: Coby Bryant Accepts 2021 Jim Thorpe Award
CINCINNATI — The Jim Thorpe Award Committee put on their annual banquet Tuesday night, and 2021 award winner Coby Bryant was there to accept his trophy.
The former Cincinnati cornerback made up the only All-American coverage duo in the country alongside Ahmad Gardner. Check out some photos and videos from the festivities.
Bryant joined former UC kicker Jonathan Ruffin (2000 Lou Groza Award) as the second Bearcat to claim a major national award. He is one of only two winners in Jim Thorpe Award history hailing from a non-Power 5 school, with Colorado State's Greg Meyers as the other.
The shutdown corner finished 2021 with 34 tackles, two forced fumbles, three interceptions, and 11 pass breakups.
