CINCINNATI — Former Bearcats quarterback Desmond Ridder spoke with the media at the Senior Bowl on Wednesday and revealed which NFL quarterbacks he models his game after.

The Bearcats' all-time leader in wins and passing touchdowns looks to the different skillsets of Texans QB Deshaun Watson and Titans QB Ryan Tannehill. Ridder said he tries to emulate Watson's athleticism and in-game decision-making. Meanwhile, he tries to take in Tannehill's ball control and longevity in the league across different situations.

The comparisons aren't hard to see. Watson is a proven winner like Ridder who led his Clemson team to a National Title. Ridder doesn't have quite the top-end passing talent Watson does, but the on-field leadership is similar. The UC graduate is a consensus top-five quarterback in the 2022 class.
