CINCINNATI — The numbers came in for UC's 2022 athletic fundraising and they are historic. According to the Cincinnati Business Courier, UC brought in a record-breaking $39.6 million in fundraising during fiscal 2022, which ended in June.

“We had not just the biggest year of fundraising in our history but by far the biggest year,” Cunningham said to the Courier. “It’s a combination of the football success that you absolutely have to capture and capitalize on when you get it, because it doesn’t come around that often when you have a historic year for us, but also it had to do with going into the Big 12. We know we have to be ready.”

Cincinnati put out the call for a "$100 million Day One" campaign as the school gets ready to join the Big 12 and fans are answering the message. The mark shattered the previous record of $28.1 million set in 2014.

As of now, UC has received $68 million n fundraising commitments for the "Day One" campaign. That is being used for renovations like those at the Sheakley Athletic Center and $10 million in renovations to the football and basketball locker rooms.
