Three-Star 2026 Offensive Lineman Trey Boyd Discusses Cincinnati Offer

Could Trey Boyd be a significant recruiting piece for the Bearcats?
In this story:

TUNNEL HILL — Cincinnati has been targeting a specific 2026 offensive lineman prospect.

Trey Boyd is a 2026 offensive lineman from Shakopee High School in Shakopee, Minnesota. He measures in at around 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds and is a three-star prospect on 247Sports (47th best offensive tackle, third best Minnesota prospect).

“It was my second offer so it shocked me because I had never heard of a Minnesota kid getting a Cincinnati offer,” Boyd stated to All Bearcats.

“I spoke with coach (Nic) Cardwell and it was really amazing he was great over the phone, especially to be my first ever phone call. The staff’s pitch to me was really, 'We want you for you and to make you the best version of yourself.' And they show me through our strong contact now.”

He dove deeper into what he believes separates Cincinnati. “I believe their integration into the Power 5 football scene being so recent makes them pretty unique and also their people are really great, especially coach Cardwell and others. An all-conference lineman is what they could get out of me and a draft pick to the NFL also a great person and teammate too.”
