UC Football Falls in Latest ESPN Recruiting Rankings
CINCINNATI — ESPN's Craig Haubert unveiled his latest Top-25 college football recruiting hauls for the 2023 class, and Cincinnati is just narrowly in the group. The Bearcats slotted in at No. 24 on the list.
"The Bearcats are showing they are ready for a move to the Big 12 with their play on the field and their ability to recruit among the better classes in the country," Haubert wrote. "Four-star LB Carter was a big in-state win, and interior OL Evan Tengesdahl was another strong, home-state pickup as he took home positional MVP honors this spring at the Under Armour Camp in Ohio. Anderson can be a productive target in the passing game, as he is a smooth runner with good hands."
UC fell four spots from its previous ranking, and sits in fourth place among permanent members of the new Big 12. Rankings before national signing days are very fluid and could change rapidly. Texas Tech (No. 4) is a great example of a strong verbal commitment class that could get picked apart as official summer visits start to heat up. West Virginia No. 22), and Baylor (No. 11) were the only other permanent Big 12 teams ahead of Cincinnati.
