Recruiting Roundup: UC Lands in Top-Five Schools For Four-Star 2025 DB Tariq Hayer
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati football is in the top-five schools for 2025 cornerback Tariq Hayer out of St. John's (D.C.).
His finalists are Wisconsin, Maryland, Notre Dame, Penn State and Cincinnati.
According to 247Sports, Hayer is the 115th-ranked player nationally and the 15th-best cornerback. He's moved up 24 spots nationally since UC offered him back in October.
The 6-foot, 175-pound talent holds 21 other offers from schools like Louisville and Kansas. Hayer is a versatile speeding bullet that can play safety and cornerback at a high level. He has great ball skills on pass breakups and brings a nasty edge in the run game as well.
He may have a slight frame, but he's not afraid to fill a rushing hole and holds up pretty well on blocks against bigger players. He could be a nice tool for Kerry Coombs to sharpen in Clifton.
He is committing on Dec. 25.
Next is a round of offers starting with three-star 2025 athlete Seonta Stewart out of Winton Woods (Ohio).
According to 247Sports, Stewart is the 39th-best athlete nationally and the 18th-best player in Ohio.
He holds seven other offers from schools like Penn State and Boston College. Stewart primarily plays cornerback.
We move to an offer for unranked 2025 safety and quarterback John Wetzel.
This is his second power conference offer following a look from Boston College.
We close with a local walk-on offer for 2024 safety Drew Robinson out of Moeller (Ohio).
He is not ranked on a major service.
