Report: Top-40 2026 Shooting Guard Jayden Johnson Visiting UC For Iowa State Game
CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball is in the mix with another high-level prospect as four-star 2026 shooting guard Jayden Johnson out of Trinity (Kentucky) visits unofficially this coming weekend.
Stockrisers' Jake Weingarten confirmed the visit.
According to 247Sports, Johnson is the 37th-best player nationally and the 10th-best shooting guard.
He holds three other offers from Missouri, Texas A&M, and West Virginia.
UC offered back in July 2022.
The 6-foot-5, 175-pound scoring threat can fill it up from all three levels of the floor and he has a silky-looking jump shot. There is plenty of athleticism from Johnson on display and he can create for others when things start to collapse around his driving lanes.
It's hard to get a feel for his defense, but the sophomore has a strong base to possibly elevate into the top 25 of the 2026 class.
