CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are one of four schools recruiting 2024 four-star guard Jase Richardson the hardest as he mulls a decision. Arkansas, Michigan State, Alabama, and Stanford are also pursuing the NBA legacy hard as reported by On3.

“How hard they recruit (is what stands out)," Richardson told On3's Joe Tipton. "I’m talking to coach (Andre) Morgan and coach Wes (Miller) every day. I feel like they are prioritizing me as one of their top recruits and they see something in me. I think I’m taking a visit to them in September.”

The constant contact has been a hallmark of the best recruiting brain trust this program has seen in the past 10 years. Two classes in, and Miller along with his staff have landed commitments from three of the eight highest-rated Bearcat recruits in the 247Sports era (Rayvon Griffith, Jizzle James, Tyler McKinley).

According to 247Sports, Richardson is the 44th-ranked prospect nationally and the seventh-best combo guard. His dad Jason attended Michigan State and played in the NBA from 2001-15.

UC staffers watched him at the first Nike EYBL summer session in late April and offered him shortly after.

Richardson has a nice package of dribble-pullup moves that he can access at multiple levels. He likely has to stack some more weight in the monster factory, but flashes a nice motor, jump shot form, and Big-12 caliber athleticism.

He could be a deadly shooter in transition as a part of Wes Miller's balanced, motion offense.
