GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Good injury news continues to pour in for Florida as it prepares for its second fall scrimmage on Friday.

Several projected key contributors for the 2023 season, most notably including sophomore linebacker Shemar James, were upgraded on the team's participation report on day 13 of the Gators' fall training camp.

Find All Gators' notebook from Wednesday's media viewing window of the practice, as well as our observations and highlights from previous fall practices, below.

Gators Fall Camp 2023: Day 13 Notes and Observations

  • From All Gators' note-taking, Wednesday's practice welcomed more NFL scouts than any other day of Florida's fall camp this year. Personnel from the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, New York Giants, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans were witnessed observing various Gators' position groups — specifically the edge rushers, featuring junior Princely Umanmielen, and the cornerbacks, including junior Jason Marshall Jr.
  • Three significant upgrades were made to the participation report on Wednesday. James (knee), in a no-contact jersey and full pads, returned to the practice field and took part in individual drills for the first time since Aug. 2
  • Tight ends, junior Jonathan Odom (knee injury) and redshirt freshman Arlis Boardingham (undisclosed) shed no-contact jerseys and participated fully in drills, as well. Odom's upgrade to full participation comes roughly nine months after tearing his ACL in the Las Vegas Bowl against Oregon State.
  • Redshirt sophomore quarterback Jack Miller III (undisclosed), redshirt sophomore offensive tackle Kamryn Waites (Achilles) and walk-on freshman defensive tackle Andre Morris (undisclosed) continued to perform rehabilitative drills to the side of the practice field.
  • Redshirt junior tight end Dante Zanders (lower body) and freshman offensive tackle Caden Jones (unknown) remained absent during the media viewing window. Napier estimated on Friday that Zanders would be out for "10 days or so."
  • Redshirt junior Ja'Markis Weston practiced with the inside linebackers for a second consecutive day, indicating that he has moved to the position after previously spending time at safety and wide receiver.
