Pregame Storylines:

The Georgia Bulldogs allowed an opening drive touchdown from the Florida Gators to kick off the annual matchup between the two SEC foes. A  7-play, 66-yard scoring drive to open the game wasn't exactly what the Bulldogs hoped for coming into this matchup as 14.5-point favorites.

However, it didn't take the nation's top-ranked unit to get back on track, scoring 26 unanswered points from that point forward in the first half.

The Bulldogs' offense cut through the Gators' defense like a hot knife, putting up (251) total yards of offense in just the first half. They didn't punt in the contest until 7:24 left in the second quarter, a 39-yard punt that went out of bounds at the 18-yard line.

Georgia's defense recovered their first fumble of the year and freshman Joenel Aguero blocked a punt for a safety in the second quarter as well. After that first scoring drive, Georgia turned Florida over three times in the first half — one fumble, a turnover on downs in their own end, and a blocked punt for a safety.
