Stetson Bennett Talks NFL Aspirations, Why He's an NFL Quarterback
Stetson Bennett met with the media Wednesday afternoon following his 55-throw pro-day script here in Athens, Georgia. The former starting quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs is currently a mid to late-round draft projection.
Many eyes were set on the former Georgia quarterback and two-time national champion Stetson Bennett as he showcased his arm talent. The former walk-on became the program's first-ever 4,000-yard passer in 2022 and was nominated as a Heisman finalist as well. He prepares for the NFL as one of the most beloved players in Georgia history and as one of the greatest stories in college football.
The pro day is a great opportunity for former Bulldogs to give one last impression before the NFL draft officially rolls around and kicked off. Player's draft stock tends to really fluctuate a lot around this time of year, and events like today could be what officially locks in their projection or helps give them that last boost. Right now several Bulldogs are projected as potential first-round picks.
Georgia also hosted several former players of the program at their pro day event. That list includes former wide receiver Matt Landers, defensive back Ameer Speed, and linebacker Jaden Hunter. A great opportunity as well for those former Bulldogs to put their talents on display in front of every single NFL organization today.
