Georgia Tech Basketball Recruiting Weekly Update: 5/22

Georgia Tech added a big commitment this week for their 2023 class

Georgia Tech Basketball had put together an impressive transfer portal haul under new head coach Damon Stoudamire, but the Yellow Jackets had been missing recruits for the 2023 cycle. Top 100 guard Blue Cain was released from his NLI and committed to Georgia not long after. Stoudamire had been looking for a talented player for this class to add to his new transfers and he got that with former Rutgers commit Baye Ndongo..

1. Georgia Tech gets a commitment from four-star forward Baye Ndongo (Putnam, CT)

Ndongo is rated as a four-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite, ranking as the 120th-best player in the country and 27th power forward. The 6'8 220 LBS forward becomes the lone commit in the 2023 class. Four-star guard Blue Cain initially signed with Georgia Tech but asked for a release from his NLI and later committed to Georgia.

2. Georgia Tech offers 2024 four-star combo guard Jaeden Mustaf

Mustaf is a top-40 player in the country for the 2024 class according to the 247Sports Composite and has offers from programs like Miami, Florida State, Indiana, NC State, and Virginia Tech, among others.
